While perusing the British Library catalogue, I found treasure of a source; the Lloyd’s Register Annual Reports, however, there is one hitch and that is, the earliest one is for the year 1907-1908, when the Society was established in 1834. I am hoping that those missing records are under a different name in the catalogue and it is just me that can’t find them, but I have a feeling that the ravages of time might have deprived us of these valuable sources. No matter what, the ones that do exist & are on hold in the British Library would be of tremendous use to my project, as they contain a lot of useful information on my topic and in general for the shipbuilding industry of England.
